Dearest Potenza
"The Gist"
Potenza, the City full of tranquility. I have been here since October 2005, teaching English to the people of Potenza and its vicinty. The weather here is not as you would aspect the South of Italy to be like. It is cold and it snows. It has a mountainous landscape and for me Potenza is neautral ground.
"Nightlife!"
Hmm... well, what is there to say? It doesn't really exist. For the capital of a region you would expect there to be some nightlife, but from as far as I have lived here, there does not seem to be much around. They have a few bars and a place called 'Basilicos' (not sure of the spelling as from my understanding everything in Italian must end with an a, o, i or e.)
The bars don't shut until you stop buying alcohol a popular one is 'Baracuda' and just round the corner is 'Carpe Dieme'.
