The scenery in Reggio is...

The scenery in Reggio is gorgeous. Reggio has the shopping, the street markets, the churches, the mountains, the beaches, the port--good fishing, the history--even greek, the culture, the museums, the people....etc. Visit I Bronzi di Riace statues at the local musuem. As far as shopping, visit Il Corso Garibaldi....it about 2-3 miles of shopping. All during the day--cars, buses..etc. are not allowed to run through this street and it is loaded with people.
Tropea and Capo Vaticano
by grift71
Through some friends of mine who started their own travel agency aimed at Calabria only, we rented a nice little villa right on the big cliff of Capo Vaticano. Splendid views, white beaches, clear blue sea, great food...
Just go there... you'll see!

Palmi
by isolina_it
"Marinella's view"
It is situated at the southern border of Calabria, in front of the Eolian Isles,
of which you can take an amazing view when the horizon is really really clear
(as well as of the Etna vulcan!)
It is placed over an extended terrace at the foot of the northern side
of the Mount Sant' Elia, the only part of the Aspromonte chain to be rooted in the sea
Thanks to its position, to say between the sandy beaches of Taureana and Sant' Elia
rocks, Palmi has the privilege to be a maritime and mountain town.
The beauty of this place is much more attracting thanks ot the vegetation,
"Sant'Elia"
Sant'Elia's mountain dominates the little town of Palmi.
Have your walks alon its plains and your trekking days along its its "off the beaten paths"( Tracciolino). You won't forget that!
