Day Trip in Reggio
by oRi_5
Hi all,
We have the possibility to go for a day trip to Reggio. I don't really know much about the place so I was wondering what would be the top things to do within a day. Travel time would be in winter...betweeen November and February (excluding Christmas period).
Also if there is a particular time when it might be better to go.
Thanks!

A must do is the "Museo Nazionale della Magna Grecia" hosting the famous Riace bronzes:

For the rest, I still have to go....

Travel Tips for Reggio di Calabria
Hiking and climbing
by Leipzig
Calabria is a beautiful region which is filled by mountains, sourrounded by 800km of coastal line. The highest peak in the region is Pollino (2267m = 7438 ft) in the Serra Dolcedorme.
We didn't have good weather all the time so we went to the mountains for hiking and climbing. On the pic you see me on top of a ~900m high mount.
Caulonia territory
by lucetta
The infinite tonalities of the green territories of Caulonia, the soft waves of the hills, the characteristic “cafuni” or valleys, the whitish area of the badlands and the silvery stretch of the coast, harmoniously frame the town which is built at the top of a group of hills which dominate the valleys of the Allaro river and of the Amusa river. The continual mule-tracks and narrow dusty lanes which lead from one estate to another and which divide the ridges, cut through the valleys and coast the fields, offer many picturesque panoramas both to drivers and to walkers.
Hours country is adapted for trekking escursions,a lot of country-hauses of the zone are used for guest -hospitality.
