Avoid this place at all costs!

I am planing a driving tour of the area south of Naples in March this year (08)
We are thinking of staying in Agropoli for 5 nights to visit the Cilento area.
Does anyone have knowledge of this area, there are 3 VT'ers who have pages but they don't seem to have logged on recently. If you know the area in your opinion is it worth a 5 day stay, we have a car so we will be able to travel around, or are there better places to stay in the area.
Is the town noisy; it's Italy I so I know it won't be quiet, but is it unpleasantly busy.
By the way we will be there in the middle of March.

it depends on what you want to visit in cilento area.
Agropoli is nice, Paestum is a must but perhaps 5 days is too much I think it is better at least to stay 3 days in my area Salerno.
I'm from Salerno and it is at 50 Km from Agropoli but it is closer to Amalfi coast that is worthy visiting( only 5 min. drive), with its breathbreaking scenary ( Amalfi,Positano,Ravello,the Wagner garden...), Salerno is also 30 min. drive from Pompei,Herculanum.
There are bus and boat connections many times a week from Salerno's harbour to the coast.

Thanks for your comments. We had already arranged our first weeks stay on the Amalfi coast we just wanted the contrast of visiting another area. We have now arranged our accommodation in the Cilento area. We are intending to drive from there further south, just depends on how we find things there.
