A hostel worth the money
I stayed at this hostel for a week, not only because I loved Amalfi but because this place had such a great atmosphere, its located in Atrani about a two minute walk from the Amalfi coast. It was a very clean hostel, lots of showers with hot water, a kitchen with a fridge and stove and table. Washing machine facities and a clothes line. There is no lock out and you get breakfast.
The two guys who run it are real charecters, they are extremely friendly and always willing to have a chat or help you in anyway.
I really enjoyed my time here and am now recomending it to anyone I know who says they are going to Amalfi. So if you go, tell Filippo, Amy recomended you!
The dorm rooms are average, you share with 10 people and the beds are basic, but for the hospitality and cleaness of the hostel it cancels that out. They also offer other types of rooms, not just dorms.
Plus it is located in a square with a great bar/restaurant and a bank and grocers. What more could you need?

One of the Amalfi Coast's Few Hostels
Just around the bend in the road from Amalfi, lies Atrani. I have decided to place the tip here for Amalfi because if you are looking for cheap accomodation in Amalfi, this will be the cheapest. The hostel is located through the city gates of Atrani and along the main road, about 100 meters down the way on the right. Two brothers run the place, and are extremely friendly and helpful. The hostel itself, leaves alot to be desired. The rooms, if oyu want to call them that, are extremely small. Mine only contained one bunk bed and the 4 walls around it. Bathrooms / showers are only little rooms. But, it is cheap at only 13-15 Euro / night. I would dare say that you won't find any cheaper accomodation along the Amalfi Coast.

Does anyone have any suggestions about A' SCALINATELLA hostel. My 3 friends and I will be arriving in Amalfi August 4-8th. This hostel sounds like it may be a nice stay.
