Can anyone suggest a cheap hotel or hostel in Capri? I'm thinking not more than 25 euros per person.

I doubt you will find anything that cheap on Capri. There are places that cheap in Sorrento. Cheap and Capri do not go together.
this is what i have found but yeah, it's not going to be THAT cheap. but the dollar is almost equal to the euro so it's a little lighter.

The breathtaking beauty of Capri lives up to it's legendary claims. At the Marina Grande, ferries come and go constantly. The Piazzetta, an intimate little square is enclosed by shops and cafes. Walking takes you to several belvederes overlooking the cliffs and sea.

Is located in the region of Campania. Nearby the island of Capri are the cities of Naples and Sorrento. The island of Capri is easily reached by boat from both cities.
Although many people choose to take the Funiculare to the top, another option is to take the orange buses. They run about every 15 minutes to the top and back down to the bottom. The cost is about 1.50 euro.
Marina Grande is the first settlement you'll see as you come towards the island of Capri. It's a busy place when you dock as people are milling around and other tourists are doing what you will probably do - getting your bearings. If you want to go to Capri town (on top of the hill), proceed along the quay (go to your right) and head towards the funicular railway station. If you want to stay in the area then there's plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants here to keep you entertained.
When our family traveled to Capri when I was a young teenager, we three children were permitted to hang onto the sides of the small boat and be pulled gently inside the Blue Grotto. I remembered being amazed at the crystal blue water, while at the same time keeping an eye on the depths below in case a shark might be lurking there. Heh!
I have no idea whether visitors can still swim there or not, but there are tours that will take you into the Blue Grotto cave. We did not have time to do any additional sightseeing beyond our trip to the top of the cliff. However, I'd definitely recommend a trip to see this fascinating place.
