We were in room 221 which is one of the better ones. Although all rooms are furnished to a high standard I have reliable information say some are very cramped.
The staff in the hotel were very good, in particular the maître d' of their restaurant. Francesco, who used to work in London not only spoke very good English but as soon as I told him our trip was to celebrate my wife’s birthday he took personal charge of making sure everything was just right. Having said for the prices they charge everything should always be just right, but the personal tour of the kitchen and some free pouring of the wine were very nice touches.
The only slight sour moment was when we checked out and noticed a few items on the bill that should not have been there, but they were quickly removed as soon as we pointed out the errors.
The swimming pool is quite unique. Most of the pool is indoors, but a small piece does extend outside to the rather cramped sun deck area. The whole pool is a massive, and I do mean massive, Jacuzzi. The sun deck area is adjacent to the out door dining area both overlook the sea and the view is nice and you did get the sun all day - if you can get a seat there.
One nice touch - the Internet connection from the room was FREE!
This place, like all of Capri is very expensive but all in all it was worth it - just!
