Belle Epoque Hotel
Around since 1870, Grand Hotel Parker's mixes old world luxury with modern amenities. The beautiful Belle Epoque hotel is located on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a boulevard which meanders along the border between Vomero and Chiaia. The hotel is thus graced with breathtaking views over Chiaia and the Bay of Naples, which are particularly wonderful from its rooftop restaurant and terrace. Naturally, prices are generally high, especially for a sea view room, but check online for discounts. I was able to find a relatively inexpensive rate on the internet for the one night I stayed here in May 2009, but of course it did not come with views. The only disadvantage to the hotel - and any other hotel in Chiaia - is that it is a bit of a distance from historic Naples (perhaps a 20 - 30 minute walk), so for the first time visitor who might spend most of his/her time in Spaccanapoli, the location might be a slight inconvenience.
