The rooms at the Hotel Des Artistes overlook the inner courtyard of the Palazzo, shielding them from any street noise. The door to the street is usually kept shut, but just ring the buzzer and the front desk clerk will be glad to let you in.
One piece of advice if you plan on staying here: make sure you don't get the room right next to the clerk's desk. He can be quite loud when he talking on the phone - though you might find it interesting to listen in on the local Neapolitan dialect in action!
Question: What are three desirable things about the Hotel des Artistes?
And a fourth - it is comfortable, quiet, and charming. Ideally situated on Via Duomo, just two minutes from the Cathedral, a short stroll to incredible pizza at De Matteis, and less than ten minutes to the Piazza Cavour metropolitana station. The Via Duomo is a major shopping street for Naples, and I felt safe walking on it even late at night.
Unique Quality: Situated on the second floor of an authentic Neapolitan Palazzo, the Hotel Des Artistes gives you a bit of a feel for the Old Naples, without inconvenience or discomfort.
