Overall, we were content with our stay at the Hotel Casanova. The the amenities were sparse and the pillows a bit meagre but the room was spotless. The staff was quite friendly, though didn't speak English all that well, which would have been helpful for itinerary suggestions. Also, this was one of the cheapest hotels we could find close to the trains station. Some complain that it's located in a bad area. I wouldn't go out alone, but we weren't bothered at all both times that we returned after 11pm.
All in all, we would stay at the Hotel Casanova again. A good budget option.
Unique Quality: We didn't watch that much TV, but they had 40+ channels available....
Also, there's 50 minutes free internet access for every night you stay.
Directions: About a 5 minute walk from Plaza Garibaldi. Set out due West from the train station, turn right at the main street running past the Garibaldi statue, and continue for about 3-4 blocks. The hotel is on the right hand, in a little courtyard.
