Museo di Capodimonte

by hawkhead

Has anyone recently visited this museum? If so, you do know which days it is open. Some guide books say Tuesday is the day it is closed, others that it is closed on Wednesdays. For some reason, the website is unobtainable - I've been trying for two days now!

Travel Tips for Naples

If you are planning to stay in...

by Pinky81

If you are planning to stay in the centre of Naples you should bear in mind that it is a very hectic and noisy city.
However, if you are planning to stay in Sorrento, Pompei or Capri you will find a more relaxed atmosphere.

Santa Maria del Carmine Maggiore (1)

by Redang

I'm not sure, but I think this church is not very known, so, it's a perfect "Off the Beaten Path Tip".

It houses great masterpieces such as paintings and fantastic architecture.

*Address: Piazza Carmine, 2 (very close to Piazza Garibaldi.

Fast and cheap

by Polly74 about Solopizza

This is more a fast food than a restaurant. You can eat pizza at everytime during the day and apart from pizza don't expect much: you can only have some french fries. Pizza is good....but let me suggest the classical Pizza Margherita...you will never misspell

Teatro San Carlo

by mvtouring

Teatro San Carlo is situated on the Piazza Pleblicito which is a beautiful Piazza in the heart of Naples. It's located close to the bay and also includes the Royal Palace. we walked here from the harbour and it was an easy walk

Piazza San Domenico Maggiore

by extrajoce

Between via San Biagio and via dei Capitelli lies this charming piazza, just under the church. At night, it is superbly lit, and was one of the most appealing visions of my walk through this old, dense part of town.
