Agriturismo San Raphael: A super surprise of an agriturismo

I wanted to see Paestum but stay at a farm that had animals for my daughter to see. This farm has pigs, chickens, cows, horses and an old hound. They grow many kinds of crops. During the evening the host, Manuella Russo, the hostess, prepares dinner for any guests who elect to eat there, and she also has many people who drive from home to eat there.
You may see her husband in the evenings, this is a real working farm, not a "plastic" one that only rents rooms to the tourists.
There is a play set to keep the kids busy. There are no tv sets in the rooms. You won't need one as Paestum will keep you occupied.
The beaches at Paestum are very nice, so if you have extra days and want to hit the beach, this is a good place. Manuella's farm is about 12 minutes from the beach as it is inland away from all the tourist traffic and the crazy drivers. (Always be alert when driving on the two lane roads in the south, they take a lot of risks in passing.)

Unique Quality: Manuella keeps the rooms totally clean and the bathrooms are also clean. Even though this is a farm we didn't have trouble with flies, etc. The annex for the rooms are recently built and new. They are adjacent to the dining building where you will have breakfast (included). The beds are comfortable and not back breaking.....or sagging.....
You get a refreshing feeling in this area due to the climate zone, it is a lot like Santa Barbara, California.
There are several markets on the way to Paestum from Manuella's farm in which you can pick up picnic items.
They charge only 20 Euros per person, which is a real deal anywhere in Italy. They take credit cards.
We were not sure whether picking this farm would be a good choice or not, but I can tell you that after staying here we would go back every year.
Manuella speaks a little English, have your request written for you to read in Italian, or speak slowly.
There is a website, but it goes through a representative, and this did not work well for us. We just used the phone once we were in Italy. If you don't speak Italian, you can get someone you meet who knows English to call for you.

Savoy Beach Hotel Paestum: Enjoy!

Great ambient, nice location, pool, green grass, blue sky, excellent cuisine, friendly staff...what more can you ask.

Regardless of which part of the year you choose, It's always good time to visit it.
Two pools ( inside pool(winter season) as well as the outside pool (summer season)) will make you relax.

Unique Quality: If you're looking for a place for wedding reception, then you just came to the right place.
