Lovely hotel up a hill!!

Villa Rosa is a charming, clean, lovely hotel in Positano. Most of the rooms have great views of the sea and the town. It is located right across the street from the Sirenuse hotel. It's agraet place to stay for the price if you don't mind climbing stairs and walking up hills to get to your hotel.

Unique Quality: Great views, and breakfast is served on your private balcony.

Villa Rosa

I did not actually stay at this hotel, but several friends of mine did when we all met in Positano. I spent some time at the hotel with them and found it to be very charming and convenient.

Villa Rosa is located not far from the beach, just across the street from Le Sirenuse, the famous resort. The location is very central and you won't have to climb all that many stairs to get to and from downtown (this is a GOOD thing in Positano!). The rooms are large and very clean and have good sized bathrooms. All the rooms that face the ocean have large patios with lots of seating room (ideal for cocktail parties!). You have a great view of the sea and coastline from here.

The photo below was taken on the balcony of one of the rooms at Villa Rosa, so you can see what a great view it is!

More about Villa Rosa

Perfect Villa Rosa

by A TripAdvisor Member

What a wonderful place!

Villa Rosa was the perfect hotel! The staff was very kind and helpful, and the location was exactly where you want to be - not too close to the beach, bars, restaurants, not too far up the road either. Our room was beautiful - large and clean, and our terrace was huge! The view was amazing! Didnt even mind all the stairs!

Will defiantly be staying with them again!

Perfect Honeymoon Bed and Breakfast

by A TripAdvisor Member

Villa Rosa made our honeymoon very special. The staff was so very very kind and helpful and made our trip extra special, one we will always remember. Breakfast on a private terrace every morning with a perfect view of Positano and the sea consist of croissants and cappuccionos by Enzo, the maestro barista. Velia will help you plan any excursion around the coast. Most of all, the staff is very friendly and kind and Villa Rosa is a beautiful place to experience Positano. We will return here one day!

A breathtaking view

by A TripAdvisor Member

I stayed here in April 2002. Villa Rosa is a simple hotel located directly across the street and above the famed Le Sireneuse hotel. The rooms are simple almost spartan, but clean and comfortable, and the bathroom is small. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the lobby is immaculate with a simply gorgeous view. Each room has a terrace, and the view is spectacular. My only advice is to get a higher room - otherwise, the airconditioning equipment on top of Le Sireneuse partly obstructs your view of the town and ocean... It is a short walk down from the SECOND bus stop in Positano (going away from Sorrento). It is quite reasonably priced for Positano.

Wonderful Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member Australia

We just ended our stay at the beautiful Villa Rosa for 1 week. The hotel has a great location, not too far up the mountain with a short walk to the town centre/beach. If you can, request room no. 32 on the 2nd level as it is larger with great high ceilings and big arched windows overlooking the big terrace with magnificant views. Breakfast (simple selection of breads/jams) served each morning on your terrace is a great way to start your day....and all the staff could not have been more helpful, always giving useful advice and recommendations. We are counting down the days until our next visit.

Beautiful Villa in an amazing place

by A TripAdvisor Member

I love Villa Rosa! We stayed here for four nights at the end of our trip and, well, we could not have asked for much else. The view is fantastic (but you earn it, by walking up lots of stairs). The front desk clerk was so welcoming and helpful. She helped us find good restaurants -- and recommended dishes at certain restaurants -- and great shops and provided good ideas for us, too. She even hooked us up with some cooking classes at the fabulous Ristorante Max (great fun, by the way).

The room was spacious and authenticly decorated. I loved our private balcony -- and I loved that they served us breakfast each morning out there. Evenings and morning are really fun at Villa Rosa, we found. Getting up each morning and having tasty room service on one's private deck with an amazing view of the Tyrannhean Sea is a great start to the day. After going to the beach or to cooking class, we hung out on our back deck and had our own little happy hour each evening.

The one thing: do not dare throw any food out in your room as this attracts ants.

Unforgettable experience

Villa Rosa is a sort of heaven took on the hearth!! We enjoyed the continental Breakfast served in the room especially in our private terrace overlooking the mediterranean sea.
The furniture were so simple but at the same time elegant and essential. Fresh flowers are provided every two or three days...umbelievable picture of a enchanting place...just a precious diamond on the amalfi Coast.
The front office manager Velia and Angela helped us to arrange any kind of excursion, they were always there for any particular need.
Villa Rosa made our vacation an unforgettable experience...that's why we will go back there very soon.
