Calante Luna: Sweet condo on Amalfi Coast

Sweet apartment on the Beautiful Amalfi coast in the little village of Praiano.
Calante Luna is a 2-bedroom luxury accommodation with full kitchen, 2 baths,
and a balcony with a killer view. Great service by local family owners. Good price too.

Trattoria San Gennaro Pizzeria: B & B Surprise!

The B & B itself has no name as nobody would ever thought that it has rooms for guests. The structure is better known as a trattoria - pizzeria, having been in the business for many years already. Besides it is one of the better known dining areas in town.

While looking for a place to say, when we arrived in Praiano, we went to some hotels on the road and since we were comparing prices of hotels, and since we traveled on a lean period, we thought we deserve a bargain.

After having seen 3-4 hotels, my husband suggested that we visit this trattoria where he used to hang out many years ago when he frequented Praiano. Upon entering the gate, we noticed in their signage that, in small letters, they also offer rooms. So, we then inquired and viola at an imaginable price (we thought it was so cheap), we were shown rooms on the lower part of the restaurant structure. The rooms were in impeccable state, and given the price (at 45 euros for a double room per night!) and it's location, we confirmed booking right away!

Unique Quality: Anywhere more central than this place is nowhere to find. It is located in the centermost part of town right beside the Basilica.

Rooms were clean, in good status, with double-glass windows that serve as sound-proofing to the church bells in the morning and other rumors in the surrounding, equiped with hot and cold water, TV, mini-ref, individual heater on winter/fan in summer and they serve a very hearty breakfast which I absolutely dig!

The thing is the B & B is not pretentious of what they offer but definitely at a price of €45 per 2 pax a night, you get more than what you hope for in this part of Costiera Amalfitana.

Pensione Continental: Small hotel with a tiny campground

The pensione continental is a small, family run hotel. It has rooms in the main building (they were a bit more expensive than the others) and some bungalow style rooms (I actually liked these more) that where sort of hanging in the cliffs, the terraces where totally covered by wine so you even had some shade in the daytime.

Breakfast was very simple like usual in italy but you could ask for extras (which had to be paid extra too) We also had dinner at the hotel sometimes the food was very good, once a week they fired the outside pizza oven and made great "pizza forno al legno"

...they also have a parking lot which is very important at the Amalfi Coast since roads are very narrow and due to the topography there are no public parking lots at all.

Unique Quality: I've never been at a place with such a spectacular view...in the evenings we sat on the terrace with a glass of wine and I played this beautiful italian song "guarda che luna guarda che mare" over and over again.
