A great place to stay to see the Amalfi coast

We read some reviews of the Magherita before booking, and were very impressed with the family run setup: from the owner (whose name appears on the sign!) and her family to all the other staff, we never had less than great service. Some reviews have faulted the cuisine, but we found the menus to be varied and of high quality, with new dishes every day, plus a 20Euro 4 course menu option. We had a great sea view room with private terrace and 2 full length sun loungers, plus table and chairs, just 10 steps away from the roof top pool : bliss after a days walking ! Praiano is quieter than Positano or Amalfi, but is agreat base to explore the coast, AND you get free parking right in front of the hotel, which is like gold dust in many other resorts. Book today !!

exceptional value

We were not expecting much for the low price. But what a surprise. The hotel was in a nice location with a fabulous view of the ocean. Rooms are airconditoned and the pool was a nice alternative to the salty ocean. The family that runs the hotel was so welcoming and friendly. I was sad to leave. The hotel was the best part of our trip.

Unique Quality: Large balcony overlooking the ocean and large airconditioned room. It is also a great sea view from the pool.

Beautiful Sunrise

We toured various city areas in Italy for 16 days in September 2006....Hotel Margherita Praiano was a different experience....it had a nice warm family feel to it....everyone there was helpful and very accomodating......there is a restaurant on the premises which was very convenient....we happened to be celebrating our anniversary during our stay...the owners knew about it and surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne during our dinner......there is a bus stop across from the hotel....it is very convenient to catch the bus to go into Positano ...... the pool on the property is a nice touch too....there is a view of the Mediterranean that is breathtaking....especially the sunrises....we slept with our balcony door open day and night and watched every sunrise....a sight we will never forget.

Suela and her mother Margherita ownes this wonderful hotel.
They represents the hospitality which every tourist expects.
the hotel has almost all facilitis of a five star hotel and Suela covers the diffrences.
For a fair price every body should have a wonderful time at her place which is COMFORTABLE , VERY CLEAN , MARVELOUS VIEW ,AN EXCELLENT HOME COOKING RESTAURANT AND HAS ITS OWN PARKING PLACE

BEST place for a family

My family just returned from a lengthy holiday in Italy. 2 adults & children 6&9 We chose Margherita based on Tripadvisor reviews and we were overjoyed with our decision!
The staff/family was extremely accomadating. They treated us like family. Often times you feel bothersome asking for tour help etc but not here. They kept offering to help. We had room 22 and it was suitable for our family. We have stayed at much more posh resorts but never so warm & friendly. Local buses picked up right at the door for 1 Euro and took you to Positano!
WE WILL BE BACK! Mummy greeted the kids every morning and made them fresh eggs.
