The pool was a great place to unwind in the afternoons after a hike and some sightseeing (getting the bus back up of course from Amalfi). There wsa large terrace, with yet more views of Ravello, sunbeds and umbrellas for guests to use.
Great pool side waiter service - especially from Lorenzo (an italian version of the footballer Jamie Redknapp I thought :-) )who kept me supplied me with several cool crisp white wines during the week.
The view of Ravello from the restaurant made it a special place to dine away the evening, enjoying the splendid home cooked pasta.
La Margherita's sister hotel, owned by the same family, has more rooms and also the large pool which can be used by both hotels - that was fair enough as guest here have to walk down to La Marherita for their evening meals if required.
This pic shows the hotel taken from the balcony at La Margherita to show how close they are. It has a lovely setting and the village of Minuta can be seen just above.
The Hotel "La Margherita - Villa Giuseppina"
are sister hotels just a short distance apart on the main road.
La Margherita where we stayed was nearer the centre of Scala, having just a few rooms but a large restaurant renowned for its excellent home coooking - the pasta was wonderful!
The rooms were fairly large with small but modern bathrooms. Best of all was the balcony - we could lie in bed at night with the windows open and have the lights of Ravello across the valley gorge winking at us.
