best self -catering in sant'agnello
giardino delle esperidi is an excellent self-catering resort. the cost of them is very resonable plus you have the bonus of being able to make yourself brekfast/lunch/dinner which can be a very big saving. the bus stop is right outside the front entrance. there is a bus every 20 minutes and only takes 10 minutes to get to tasso square. also the staff are very friendly and helpfull with any requests.

Cheap hotel in Sorrento
I am visiting sorrento on may 19th.I need a cheap accomidation in sorrento for a day, preferably near the railway station.
I have searched but i could not find a hotel less than 80 euros.
Are the hostels safer to stay as i am visiting with my wife?

80 euro IS cheap accomodation in Italy for any hotel, Sorrento is the most 'exclusive' i.e. "Expensive!" place we have stayed out of 7 different holidays spent there this century already. Don't know of hostels in Sorrento but - if it is over your budget, it is only one day, I would book at 80 Euro and you can make it back to budget later.

Try the apartment Piazza Tasso. It is centrally located and only 75 Euros per night.

Sorrento is really small and even the hotels along the Cape are only about fifteen minutes by foot from the train station. Try Hotel Desiree - the contact info is on my Sorrento page. I paid EUR 60 for a single room there last year- you might be able to get a double for EUR 75 or so...
Hostels.com shows "Esperidi Resort & Sorrento Cooking School" for EUR 50/night for a private double room in July. It is close to the Circumvesuviana BUT it is one stop from the Sorrento city center (stop: Sant'Agnello). Otherwise, I couldn't even find any hostels in Sorrento with private rooms for less than EUR 80.
