Bay of Naples and a bus stop
We just spent a few days in Sorrento and couldn't find a place we liked in the center of town so settled for a hotel on the hill overlooking the town and the Bay of Naples with a bus stop right outside the hotel door. The hotel even sells bus tickets.
It was very reasonable and the view from our terrace over the bay was nothing short of spectacular. We took the bus to Sorrento, Amalfi and Positano and could easily have gone to Naples or Pompei if we had time.
The rooms are clean and comfortable but on the small side although we certainly had plenty of room for the two of us and our luggage.
Unique Quality: They also have free wifi which was very useful to us. There is a very nice pool overlooking Sorrento and the bay. The staff speak Engish for the most part and everyone was very kind and helpful.
The hotel is air conditioned if that is important to you.
It is delightfully cool and quiet at night because it is up the hill, not in the center of town. The bus makes it very easy to get around so you don't miss being central, just enjoy the marvelous views.
Very nice breakfast is included in the restaurant with windows overlooking the bay.

Our favorite hotel in our two week stay in Italy
The Villa Fiorita was our favorite hotel in our two week stay in Italy. The staff was exceedingly helpful with train and bus schedules, tour information, etc. The food in the family run restaurant right on the premises was very good. Best of all the view from our hotel balconey was spectacular! I'd definitely go back

Affordable sights
A little bit outside town, the hotel Vila Fiorita has a reasonable ratio price/quality, and using its location in the mountain, a wonderful view.
One single problem: The hotel has a pool, but the clients were not allowed to use it. Why?

Away From the Maddening Crowd
Villa Fiorita is a rather basic, but clean accommodation -- although the views are beautiful. Please note that it is located up in the hills above Sorrento, and that the hotel does not have an elevator. Employees were nice and informative. Since its location is more in the "country," roosters begin crowing infrequently between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.!! Even so, for the value, I would definitely stay here again.

Last September I stayed at Hotel Villa Fiorita, which was between $60-$70 U.S. per night, if I remember correctly. It's basic and clean with large rooms. Please note, however, that the hotel is in the hills above Sorrento. There is a SITA bus stop conveniently located directly in front of the hotel.
