Sorrento Relais B&B - Not In Winter Anyway

First off, despite it's name, I'm not sure I would call this place a B&B per se. It's 3 or 4 rooms in a condo. There are other condos in the building that are residential, but this one is exclusively for rental. There's a entry hall with desk and the rooms.

Our room was a bedroom with a futon (additional sleeping space), TV, mini-fridge, and a bathroom with a spa tub/shower combo.

Breakfast was not served in the B&B, but you were given passes to a place down the street. There were several beverage options, but the only food was croissants. After four days, that got old.

All of this would have been fine if not for the one issue we had for our entire stay, lack of heat. No matter the time of day, all that came through the vent was cold air, as if it was stuck on cooling mode and it ran constantly.

Unless you left the room, as the key you needed to get into the room was also needed in order for any of the electrical items in the room to operate. That's fine for the lights, but seems to me a bit daft for the heating/AC to be set up in such a way that the room is always going to be uncomfortable when you get in.

Because of problems with my friend's flight, we arrived after midnight. The manager had been notified of the problem and came by and let us in at that late hour and couldn't have been nicer. But after he left, we discovered that we had no heat or hot water. We managed to get in touch with him the next morning and he came out, turned the hot water on and said he would send an electrician to check the heat. That night, still no heat, and the desk clerk we spoke to just shrugged... We were cold for two more nights before we managed to get a maid one morning to give us a space heater that was just sitting in her supply closet. We froze for three nights before that....

Off season rates were around $110 a night for the room.

Basically, as long as everything is to your liking, you'll probably enjoy your stay, but if anything is wrong, you can about forget getting anyone to fix it for you...

Unique Quality: The Spa tub was nice, but no views to speak of from our room. I think one of the rooms adjacent to us would have had a pretty nice view.
