Kalimera club sorrento

by pawla

Hi, my friends and I will be spending a few days in Sorrento and the Kalimera club seemed like a great club. Could anyone kindly inform me on the entrance fee and taxi fee to get to the club from Sorrento centre?

Thank you
Pawla

Hi Pawla. I've been to Sorrento a few times but haven't heard of the Kalimera Club. Did you go there and what went on? Was it a good experience? I would be interested to know for a future visit.

Travel Tips for Sorrento

Piazza St. Antonio

by barryg23

Like many Italian towns, Sorrento has statues of religious people. In the picture is St. Antonio, Sorrento's patron saint. The surrounding Piazza, also called after the saint, is a nice place to relax and catch the shade.

Bar with History

by Balam about Dolio Inn

Situated in the historical centre of Sorrento this bar at first glance appears to be just a normal bar. they have live music every night from about 21:00 the cocktails are relatively cheap and the atmosphere is friendly. It's a nice place to sit in the afternoon and have a drink.

The real lure of this restaurant/bar is in the cellar.

In the early 1990's they decided to expand the bar downwards by digging a cellar and found that the bar had been built on the Dolio of an old Roman Villa dating from the II - IV century AD. and probably used to store grain. These excavations have been made into a feature in the cellar and everybody is welcome to go down and see them (there are even a couple of tables down there so you can stay and have a drink) a main Roman wall supports the bar and you can look down through glass to see the foundations and various pottery finds.

Pompeii, Herculaneum

by malkin

Both are great. Herculaneaum is smaller but better conserved and you really get the feeling of everyday life at the moment of the devastating eruption in AD79.
A discount ticket is available from the ticket booths if you intend visiting them both.
Easy access by Circumvesuviana trains.

Via del Capo

by Jetgirly

For a walk away from the tourist-centric city center, why not walk along Via del Capo, out onto the cape? From here you will enjoy panoramic views of the city, waterfalls and shrines to the Virgin Mary.

Sorrento

"sorrento"

Sorrento is a great place to base your stay on the Amalfi coast. The people are very chill, the food is great, and the landscape is just amazing. You have the option to explore the land with hikes, scooters, or if you're a beach bunny, the various private beaches are great. Though the beaches are mostly pebbly, they served us just fine. I heard that Meta, just a bus or train ride away, has more suitable beaches.

"The very narrow street in sorrento"

A cute street, where most of your nights will be spent since most of the action is here. Many shops, restaurants and bars.
