Camping: County Club Castel Fusano

We stayed here in April 2006 for convenient access to Roma after good reviews in www.ecamp.com. We sayed in the general camping with our motorhome. We had a great time in Rome however a different choice of campsite would have improved our stay. We visited Castel Fusano International however we left after 1 hour due to the state of the place.

I have to say the country club is a dump and you could be misled by there glossy website! However the campsite is paridise compared to Lido de Ostia/Castel Fusano which reminded me of a seaside resort that had its hayday twenty years ago

My main gripe was the 20 year out of date toilets that I never seen clean during various point sin the day (during our 4 day stay). Mouldy showers. Smell of sewage. Lack of Facilities (though it was the off season). Prostitutes when you exit the site which would probably explain the 24 hr security guard.

We explored the site and it looked like a ghetto.

To be honest this isnt an opinion it is fact. Do yourself a favour and camp away from this area.
