Bologna Airport-Verona

by Redang

Hi everyone!

Is it possible to go from the Airport to Verona by bus?, or I have to go to the railway station or city centre first to take a bus or train.

Thanks.

The airport's website (http://www.bologna-airport.it/uk/transport-and-services/to-e-from-the-airport/?IDFolder=977&LN=UK) does not show a direct bus from Bologna's airport to Verona.

On the other hand, the airport is not far out of town on the north side, and the train station is on the north side of the city center, so it's not a long bus trip.

By train, it looks like about one direct train per hour...

Oratorio di Santa Cecilia

by Tijavi

Close to San Giacomo Maggiore is one of Bologna's overlooked attractions. There are no soaring gothic structures here, nor flashy baroque motifs, only vivid, colorful frescoes depicting the life of St Cecilia and her husband Valeriano. The frescoes are a collaboration between Lorenzo Costa and Francesco Francia, the same duo behind the frescoes in the Capella Bentivoglio within San Giacomo Maggiore.

One of the scenes that stood out was the beheading of Valeriano (picture 2).

Airbus: from/to airport

by ludogatto

There is the web page of ATC (public transportation society) in Bologna, and this is the right page for Aerobus, with all info onthe bus stop, the time and the price.

the are 2 AIRBUs line from the airport: one go directily to the fair district, the second go in the city center but remember they to less stop then a regular bus, there is one in front of the main haospital ( ospedale Maggiore) and 3 in the city center and station, it's more quick but you have to igo n the city center!

Cafe Morandi

by yasi about Cafe Morandi

Actually its a very little place I use to go there just for the breakfast but its not a bad idea to stop there when u just don't want to spend much time for lunch. try the brios alla nutella with the capuccione(typical capuccino but served with big glasses) for the breakfast. Its delicous. The 3 guy whose work there actually own the place. They are c-very friendly when the place is not crowded.

Piazza Maggiore

by marycm

The main square and best starting point. Best place for people watching at any time of day. Check out the families and children in the morning and the old men standing around arguing in the evening. Gelato in the summer or hot chocolate in the winter on the square are overpriced but it's all about the location.
