Starhotels Excelsior, Bologna, Italy - Reviews and Hotel Information

Starhotel Excelsior - We found this hotel online and selected it because of its close proximity to the train station (right across the street). We paid a reasonable rate and were kind of expecting the average small cubby hole-size European room. The hotel turned out to be quite nice. Although the lobby was dusty from the renovation that was going on....the area that they have completed was something like an Eurasian theme. Once finished, I could imagine this hotel being more equivalent to the 'W' hotels we have here in the states.

Our one-night stay was comfortable and the staff was pleasant and helpful. Our favorite part was having cocktails in their lounge area. Execellent wine selection and they served up complimentary hors d'oeuvres as we sat and listened to some Bohemian jazz playing on the loud speaker!
Around $200USD for a triple room.
