The fascade is rather plain, rather unappealing upon first glance, but the placement of the hotel is ideal for those wishing to make an early departure the following morning by rail. The railway station is immediately across the street, which does bear questioning if normal railcar movement throughout the night might be a distraction from a peaceful sleep.
A full American style breakfast is included in the room rate, and the restaurant is open to others besides hotel guests. Rooms are air conditioned, offer satellite TV with mini bars, and direct dial telephones. The brochure states that a full range of technical services are available for business applications, but no specific mention of Internet facilities is made.
Location, location, location. Agreed, it is not in the centre, but then you don't have to haul your bags long distances either. Normally, I would suggest a visitor spend a few extra dollars and stay within the old centre of any town you visit in Italy. The charm and feel of the city is best appreciated upon first waking in the morning, especially after a late dinner and drinks the night before. However, in this case, Ferrara old city centre is so large, that I question if it would make much of a difference.
