San Francesco - overview by Mikebond
The basilica di San Francesco was built on a pre-existing Franciscan complex in 1494. It was planned by famous architect Biagio Rossetti. Notice the frieze that divides the lower and the upper part of the façade.There is a beautiful meadow with trees in front of the church, as you can see from my pictures.
If the outside of this basilica may not catch your attention, the interior is completely different, full of paintings and frescoes. Let's go in!
