How far is airport?

Hi,

thinking of booking a weeks hol and wondering how
far resort is from airport.

Whats best/cheapest/reliable method of transfer to resort -taxis usually
very expensive.

Rimini where? which resort? there are about 1250 different hotels with various kind of accomodation in the area.

Hy,
first, what resort? There are many many in Zoccoland...
BTW from airport to center there is the bus #9 who runs to the train station in Rimini twice an hour for € 1.

Marco is right, get the number 9 bus. Rememember to get a bus ticket from the bar inside the airport and stamp it in the yellow machine once on the bus. Do not forget; the inspectors are totally ignorant to the fact that you're not Italian and will not the know their stupid local laws. The fact that you have just spent a couple of hundred quid to get there, another couple of hundred for the hotel plus your spend doesn't register with these Mussolini clones. They of course will be insistent that you meant to fraud them of the 1 euro bus pass and treat you accordingly.
Depending on what you are looking for will depend on where you stay. For the authentic Italian experience stay on the number 9 all the way to the old town. The locals dine,shop,meet there and it will take no more than twenty minutes from the airport. If you however want the beach, you might as well ask the driver to let you off in Bellariva, it's as good as anywhere. I would choose this area, which is literaly 5 minutes on the bus and make my way to the town center in the evenings by catching the number 11 bus. Take my advice and book into either the Moby Dick or Bel sogno. Both are basic, clean, family run hotels. No frills but fantastic hospitality. I would even go further to say that if you contact Maurizio at the Moby Dick and mention Michael, he'll probably pick you up from the airport gratis. Enjoy, I do often.

In Rimini are not Mussolini clones since ages.. sure they are "romagnoli" like Benito was, but *lol* actually they still think the wall it's still on and they are proud to have a *State inside at the State*

The Statue of Pope Paul V in Piazza Cavour is the main focus of a cute story that goes back to the Cisalpine Republic created in 1797 by Napoleon Bonaparte, which was in fact a subject to France.

The people of Rimini really feared that the Pope's monument would be destroyed by the French authority. So they came up with the idea to cut the Pope's tiara (hat of authority) and replace it with a mitre (I guess bishop's hat?). That's how Pope Paul V was made to be San Gaudenzo, the patron saint of Rimini :-)
