General Information: Land of hospitality

I think it's difficult to give any direct suggestion about accommodation in Rimini, because accommodation it's the last problem here! I give you just some figures: only in Rimini you have more than 1.000 hotels, 400 open anytime in the year. If you like camping, there are 4 campsites available and if you're looking for an apartment, there are lots of agencies providing all the renting you need! You have of course a wide range of prices, but normally there are a lot of "pension" rated 1 or 2 stars offering a good standard of accommodation at a very reasonable price!

Hotel Sara: Hotel Sara- very close to the beach!

I was only 6 years old when we stayed at this hotel but I have such fond and vivid memories. The beach is located right across the street so it's very convenient.
The food was great and the hosts just loved bambibi ( kids) I was spoiled rotten..:)
I have heard that the hotel has been a bit remodeled and I have seen pics of the interior which has been quite modernized..

Hotel Cortina: Hotel Cortina

Our italian friend Rolando is the owner and manager. He speaks several languages, including norwegian (norsk)!! Great service, nice and comfortable rooms with tv and bath, good italian food. 5 min walk from the beach.

Unique Quality: Do not have pool, but a cozy little garden in front.

This is one of the few centres...

This is one of the few centres in Italy specialising in therapeutic treatments using sea water.It is Rimini's Thalassotherapic (2,850 hotels in the whole of the province and 1,404 in the town itself). A tradition which, in the Adriatic city, is lost in time, seeing that the hydrotherapeutic centre was already active back in 1875.The present Thalassotherapeutic began its activity in 1976. Sea and treatment are practically twins. On the other hand, water, sun and sand are the three magic words that conjure up dreams of relaxing on the edge of the Adriatic Sea.The business strategy aims to make the Centre become more and more specialised in the treatment of health and fitness, and this is why the investment programme includes reorganization work for a cost of three billion lira.The present specialities of Rimini's Thalassotherapic are the sand baths, balneotherapy, rehabilitation, vascular treatment, inhalatory cures (for complaints of nose, ear, respiratory tract and throat) and aesthetic treatment. The plans in programme include the restructuring of the sand bathing department, where the aim is quality, and also for the development of the new sports centre.It is very well known as a centre for marine cures, and offers balneotherapy and massophysiokinesitherapy. The massophysiokinesitherapy constitutes a valid support to the thalassotherapy, completing the rehabilitation action. The Republic of San Marino might soon make use of the Thalassotherapic for its facilities and beach area.

stayed at Hotel Dory (work payed for it) - a very nice if a bit expensive hotel near the beach. They have an excellent breakfast (included with room) - internet access in the basement for free - a fine sauna/healthclub facility and free bicycles.
maybe $120/night?

Unique Quality: great breakfast, free bicycles and a monthly visit to the family 'villa' for a countryside party.

I stayed at Hotel Esedra. It...

I stayed at Hotel Esedra. It was a VERY small room. The bathroom truly disgusted me. There was a toilet inside of the shower!! Needless to say, I showered from the bathroom sink because I was so grossed out!
The room was only 90,000 lira (about $45)
