Hotel Oliva: Hotel Oliva
This is a great hotel to stay at during your stay in Aviano. It is at the crossroads of five intersections. Great to people watch from their patio. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Our room was very nice and very modern. All this for a very inexpensive price.
Unique Quality: View of Piancavallo is superb.

Hotel Oliva is nice, alot of people like Lino's, and I prefered Desiree. There are so many in that area, you wont have a problem finding anything. I would be cautious about June-Sep reservations. Its called "high PCS season" for the military. Meaning availability can be slim during those times because the military is coming in and going out. There is no base housing so Americans stay in these hotels when base hotels fill up which is all of the time because there aren't many. These hotels have contracts/agreements with the US military to house their people. So military is somewhat on a priority for hotels in the Aviano area.

Hotel Desiree: Aviano's Residence Desiree
Nice but no phone in the room for emergencies They offer a cell phone if you can get it in time. They come to clean every other day.
Unique Quality: The room was GIGANTIC!!! Not many rooms in Italian hotels are bigger than an american walk-in closet. I was very happy with the space of the bedroom and bathroom. Had a very decent sized full kitch. I only paid 45 euros a night. Its next to a gelato shop down from the Chinese restaurant by the square (piazza). The gelateria had awesome sgroppinos and gelato!
