Remembering Giulianova
We were in Giulianova in early spring. The morning weather look perfect for the parade. But as a city by the sea – "una citta sul mare" , we cannot escape the cold morning winds blowing in from the Adriatic Sea.
"Con la grazia del L'Onnipotente!" By 10.00 AM the sun was up shinning bright giving some warmth in the air. By then the crowd had already thronged the streets in anticipation with the "V" Giulianova Fastival Internazionale Bande Musicali" Parts of Giulianova is situated on a hill while the rest of the municipality lies on the lowlands touching the shoreline. The streets where the bands would march through were on the higher elevation of the city thus overlooking the port and the blue sea below.
“Il festival, le folle, piazzas, strada bazar, ristoranti, pizzerie e le acque blu del mare che può essere considerata di gran lunga inferiore rende Giulianova, un vivace luogo per trascorrere le vostre vacanze”
How lovely! On the last day of the event, the All Girls Marching Band of Sultanah Asma Secondary School from Malaysia was awarded The First Prize for The Overall Performance
