Taxis
We are considering staying in a villa outside Fiuggi. To go out in the evening does anyone know if we can book a taxi into town? (We will have a car but don't want to use it in the evenings as we would like to have a drink with our meal out.) Also if this is possible do the drivers speak any English?

According to the Italian Yellow Pages (Pagine Gialle) there is one taxi company in Fiuggi: Terrinoni Biagio Taxi, Via Lago di Canterno, 5, 03014, Fiuggi. Phone: 0775515404
Don't know if they speak English...but I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to either make yourself understood...or get some assistance from the folks who rent you the villa.

Wow! we Italians are used to go out at evening by car. We are used to have a bottle of wine with our meal. We are used to drive back home :-(
Nice to see that you are so responsible.
By italian law the alcoholometric limit is 0.5 gr per liter. I guess it is 0.8 in US and UK.
I too have found only one taxi number (the one quoted by Cristina).
