What the Hotel Has to Offer

TheGajeta Hotel Residence is an outstanding place to stay in Gaeta. It's location is just excellent. It is located at the start of the Ancient City Centre; thus, it is close to both the newer portion and the ancient portion of the city.

Also, it is located across the street from Gaeta Bay so most rooms look out over the bay [our room sure did!]

This hotel has been entirely renovated and has 30 rooms and suites. The hotel has a small bar [which we used twice after our nighty stroll after dinner...great after dinner drinks!]

It also has a solarium terrace, which Allan used for reading his newspaper, and I used for enjoying the scenery.

On each day there, we also used the internet point. There was a computer and a printer. You would sign in with your name and room number. It was supposed to cost 2.60 Euro per half an hour. However, we were never charged any amount. [In the 5th photograph, the managers child is asleep on the couch. We used the computer for one hour, and the child slept that whole time]

The hotel also offers a self-service laundry, use of the clay-court tennis club, and a new restaurant.

Unique Quality: This new restaurant is called "El Gringo" which offers local dishes and real recipes of the Texan and Mexican cuisines!

We were given a parking permit, which we placed on the dash of our car; thus, we parked free on the street right in front of our hotel. Because of its convenient location, we never moved our car. Rather, we walked everywhere!

Our experience at the Gajeta Hotel Residence was just delightful with its helpful, patient, efficient staff who went out of their way to make our stay just wonderful.

Perfect Location at Start of Ancient Center

Located in the medieval part of Gaeta, the Gajeta Hotel Residence is an ancient building that faces the Gulf of Gaeta.

There are 30 rooms and suites, most with panoramic views of the gulf.

The suites are divided into two categories: Large studios which are really junior suites that are suitable for 2/4 people and have a living area with a double bed a one sofa bed. There is a dining area with a kitchenette (which serves as a wall. In addition, there is a bathroom with a shower.

The second category is called the Star studios (suite) for 2/4 people. It has a living room with a sofa bed, dining are with kitchenette, bedroom with double bed, and a bathroom with a shower.

The suites have telephones, satellite TV, air conditioning, and some have private terraces.

Unique Quality: We stayed for two nights at the Gajeta Hotel residence and were located, I feel, in the best location the hotel had to offer.

We were not in the largest room, but we had the largest terrace! Ours was a Junior suite. The kitchenette [which rolls up and locks] was locked and used as a privacy wall. We were on the top floor in the center and overlooked the bay. Our terrace was huge..French doors from the living room took you to the terrace, which really served for us as another room. It was in the 60's and sunny while we were there; thus, I sat out on the chairs and read and wrote in my journal during "down time".
