Small Luisa Hotel: Cosy and quaint
Unfortunately, only stayed here for 1 night as my girlfriend and I made a detour to the Island of Ponza on a spur of a moment. She looked at the map and asked me "want to go to Ponza?" and I replied...."yeah, why not?". So, we bought our ferry tickets and we set off for Ponza. No regrets whatsoever. We chanced upon Piccola Luisa Hotel and she is a gem. The room was spotless and the windows were potholes...felt like being in a ship. This island is so beautiful and definitely need more than 1 day to explore.

Un Posto al Sole: Apartment in Ponza
When we got to Ponza, we got off the boat and walked a few steps to some agencies to find a place to stay (we arrived early and had planned to simply go home on the last boat if there was no where to stay the night). The guest house we got was a little more expensive than we would have liked (I think it was about $150/night), but considering that the place could have slept 4 or 5 people, it would have been a good deal if there were more than just us two. Anyway, we reserved the house and left our luggage at the agency while they got the place ready. A few hours later, we were given a ride to our house, which was at the top of a hill.
Unique Quality: This place was worth every penny. The owner was incredibly nice and welcoming, the house was cute and had a kitchen, shower, fold out couch and double bed. The patio had a table and chairs and, best of all, an amazing view of the port with all it's boats, blue water and houses packed onto the hills.

Villa Ersilia: BEWARE!!!
Horrible all the way around. The owner swindled us because we were last minute bookers. He charged us three times the price of any other accommodation. Then he had the nerve to quote us one price over the phone and charge more when we arrived. To make things worse, the room wasn't cleaned before we arrived, there was no hot water, no toiletries, no phone, no TV and worst of all, NO VIEW. It was awful. Although the location was convenient and just off the port, there was nothing to see because we had NO WINDOW. The owner offered NO discount for the quirks we endured from his shabby establishment nor did we get a receipt for our payment. Please remember this name and STAY AWAY!!!
Unique Quality: Nothing.

No (youth) hostels - only hotels
Unfortunately there are no hostels on Ponza, so if you are not willing to pay quite a lot of money to get a hotel, I recommend that you go to Ponza only on a one-day trip. For instance the ferries leave from Terracina and go to ponza in the morning and then it is possible to catch a ferry back to Terracina in the evening.
