So small it doesn't have a name.: Small budget campsite
If you can find this modest campsite amongst the numerous other more signposted sites along the road to Bolsena, you will have more money to spend at the wonderful fish restaurant at the nearby lake edge.
There is only a small selection of spaces to camp, with a nearby tap, communal sinks and a couple of hot water cubicle showers, plus one easy-access room with shower, toilet and sink, but this is a family run camp where the owner doesnt speak much English. (Though she does speak fluent German and will give a warm welcome to anyone else who does).
Unique Quality: 17 euros for 2 people in a small tent in August has to be the cheapest night we had. Plus, the lake edge is only a short walk away.

Camping Val di Sole: Shadow in the Valley of the Sun
The camping site has grown bigger without loosing its character: open, family atmosphere, lots of shade - with many olive trees - lovely beach.
We've stayed for about a week. The lots are not too large, but when you leave your car outside (which is cheaper) it is large enough.
There is plenty of hot water in the open showers, but some more non-italian toilets would be nice.
Unique Quality: The nice beach with its trees, the cool afternoon breeze and the view over the lake are beautiful. When there are fireworks in Bolsena or Montefiascone and the lake is like a mirror, you can see the silent sprankles rise and dim.

La Riserva Montebello: B&B by the lake
The rooms were spacious enough with some hanging and storage space but it's clearly a summer destination with the tennis courts and pool prominently placed.
The owners have other properties in the area so, if you have a group, they should be able to accommodate you.
Unique Quality: It's an excellent base if you want to do Tuscan walled-type towns and check out Etruscan remains.
The breakfasts were different. If you don't like smoke then you may want to have something in your room. Our "butler" for breakfast was an aged gentleman who chainsmoked and, since it was winter, the dining room was shuttered and barred.
A cup of tea is an oddity though coffee is on tap at all times.
