Bed and Breakfast Faleri: Friendliest B & B in Montefiascone

I got this reference to Maria's B & B from a great friend who lives in the area. It turned out to be a terrific place to stay. The rooms are clean, have tvs, and the street is quiet with a view of the big cathedral on top of the hill. Maria sets out a great spread of breakfast goodies at the time the guests choose, and she is a cheerful, gracious host. Maria speaks English which was helpful for us, and she pointed out lots of things to see as well as a couple of great restaurants only a block away.
The bathroom is totally clean and so is her kitchen where she prepares the food.
We ended up staying an extra day because we found lots of things to see around this town. In particular, Castle Bolsena, the lake and we enjoyed a small fishing village called Marta. We also drove to Civita Bagnoregio and Orvieto while at Maria's. All were not a long drive.
Montefiascano is a good choice to reach from Rome's airport using Via Cassia. It took us about an hour and a half and was an interesting drive past many old ruins.
It is also famous for the Est Est Est wine, a story from many years ago.

Unique Quality: We wanted to find an easy drive from the airport, a quiet street and a friendly host. Maria would always email us back when we wrote her. You won't find this qualtiy in many hotels, etc. in Italy, if at all.
Maria is a retired teacher and has an extensive and impressive library.
You will be staying on the 2nd floor which lends itself to a great view.
We will return here again on our next trip. Maria made us feel like we were family.
