Piazza Navona
Sit outside and enjoy Piazza Navona while having something good to eat whether at night or during the day...at night it's more romantic but during the day it's more alive with people walking around and artists painting.

Hello,
this summer, in August I am flying to Lyon, France from Catania, Italy. My problem is that my flight from Catania arrives in Fiumicino and my flight for Lyon leaves from Ciampino. Does anyone knows how to get from one airport to the other with spending too much money? I will appreciate any suggestion. Thanks!

You can get the Leonardo Express from Fiumicino to Termini Station (+/- 35 mins) and the train to Ciampino from there (or metro from Termini to Anagnina, and a connecting bus from there to the airport, but I think they are working on the metro line at the moment). If you look on the airports' websites you will find all connection possibilities, although unfortunately these do not include any direct inter-airport shuttle.
Train to Termini, then Ciampino bus/train options here:

The Terravision coach goes from directly outside the station:

If you choose road transport allow plenty of time for potential traffic congestion.
from Fiumicino take Leonardo express( about 11 euros) to Termini station and from here you can choose between private buses (Air shuttle or Terravision, from 7-9 euros ) or the underground to Anagnina and a bus to Ciampino(1-2 euros)and this way need probably a little more time. the private bus are more safely, i mean you have not to search for the exact bus to ciampino airport at anagnina station, but if you go rigthly in advance you can easily ask to someone at the station , take the exact bus and safe money :)
I am looking at the same situation this summer. What about taxi between the two airports - anyone out there know if this is that pratical (time and cost) - the route into the city and back out again seems like a lot of hassle.
I's feasible, but whether it would be quicker will depend on the traffic situation at the time you arrive. It's certainly cost you more than the train/coach.
It's not really a hassle getting into/out of the city, imo, but if you want to pay for a taxi I'm certain there will be plenty of drivers waiting outside Fiumicino very happy to take you to Ciampino.

The Great Drain, or the original Roman sewer, first built to drain the low-lying parts of the city, still exists in parts. One can see portions of it, such as where it empties into the Tiber, and much still remains usable.
Using the subway is very convenient...but you must to be beware of gipsy...For me, travelling means to try to live as close to the locals' lifestyle as possible.
Cheap and Good, you can buy one day, three days' or a week's ticket-----Do your own amazing race.!!
Here food and pizza are delicious. Last time I ate pappardelle with wild boar gravy ... fantastic!!
If you happen to go in this area you have to try this restaurant / pizzeria.
There's a nice atmosphere but sometimes it's noisy.
Restaurant is open at lunch and dinner untill late at night. All I have eaten was deliciuos!!! I love tuscany dishes.
This is a castle that was built in 117 and is located near the Vatican. It was worth visiting but was not one of the best things to see. It is basically a stone fortress with a great view of Rome from the roof. It also has a few prison cells and the pope's apartments in it. I would recommend it, but if you do not have enough time and can not see everything in Rome, you wouldn't miss much not seeing it.
