Alessandro Palace
Just a few blocks from the Termini, Romes main station, this hostel is clean and a good place to meet people. It costs 16euros for a dorm. They have free pizza on certain evenings, also have a good kitchen and a good common area with tv to meet people.
They also do a free breakfast, all be it, a rock hard roll(and i mean rock hard - do not eat if you have dodgy teeth!) and a blob of jam!

Help with Accomodation
I am looking for accomodation in Rome will be there July/Aug 08.
Not expensive but secure.
Could be Hostals / Backpackers or Youth Hostels. I am looking for maybe a 1 bedroom.

I stayed at Pop Inn Hostel and Alessandro Palace Hostel. Both were more expensive, but very secure (24hr reception, lockers, etc). If you want more details, I wrote about these hostels in my Rome page.
