I don't know any of those hotels, but you can get reviews written by people who have stayed at them at http://www.tripadvisor.com/

I won't recommned the one where we stayed because it doesn't warrant a recommendation. The area was fine though. You can walk to most major tourist spots from Termini easily and most of the tours leave from the station so it's well located in that respect too.

Good luck.

i know you want to know about termini area but i ended up staying at the hotel amalia down near the vatican as it was easter and all the first places you try when searching thru the lonely planet were full or too expensive - and it was a lovely place and good spot handy to get around etc. and it wasnt difficult to get there from the bus where i got off from the airport.

Hi there, We were in Rome last week and stayed at the Hotel Corot in Via Marghera. it is about 100 m from Termini. ( use the exit near Binario 1, Look straight up the street and you will see it..) It was by far the friendliest, most helpful hotel we have stayed at in Italy. The breakfast is nice too and put a lot of 4 star hotels to shame. It is 3 star and we paid Euro 170 for a triple room. The hotel rooms are very clean and tidy and the bathrooms are all new. They have either a spa bath or traditional shower.

THANX to those of you who have answered my question so far :) I find the Termini area handy for all the public transport and the ease of walking to many of the sights ! so anywhere in this area that anyone could recommend would be great : ) i've looked at the Corot Hotel it looks great but they aren't booking for next year yet...I stayed at the Lazio Hotel this year which was great too but they aren't booking yet either! ...we want to book soon so that's why i thought i'd ask my fellow VTers !
