Ancient Romance B&B

Great position

I spent two days in this bed and breakfast, it is very close to the Vaticano, you can actually see part of the walls from the room's windows, and conveniently located to use Underground (5 minutes walking from the building) and the buses and trams, just few steps away.
It is at the fifth floor of a building so, even if the street can be a little noisy, the rooms were quiet. They have a tiny elevator, make sure you shut the door when you exit it or it will be stuck at the floor until somebody else close it.
It consist of three rooms, each one decorated with a different theme, spacious enough to be comfortable but not big. They have private bathrooms and a little table by the window where you can have your breakfast.
Breakfast was just sufficient, self service at a table by the reception, they had some package cakes, bread, jam, hot beverages and juices. The small kitchen was always available for the guests to make a cup of tea or whatever they needed.
The tenant will give you his cell phone number so when you arrive in Rome you can contact him and he will meet you at the hotel door. He will also be always available in case you need help during your stay.

Unique Quality: It was worth it for the money, 75 euros for a double with private bathroom and small breakfast in 2010, and the location is stratecic to visit Vaticano.
However, I would not come back because the bathroom was noisy. I believe they built a bathroom for each room trying to make the best of the space they had, but they used water pumps to push the water to the main pipes and this made a THUD THUD sound every time you (or your neighbour guests) use the water in the bathroom... this include flush, sink, shower.... actually it was kind of funny but a little disturbing when it happened at night.
