We (me and my girfriend) stayed there for wonderful 4 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was so nice and cleaned every day. The price was same like in the cheapest hostels (own double-bed room), but the service was on higher level! The breakfasts were absolutely great - original italiano espresso or cappuccino (or tea), delicious fresh croissants and other Italian sweets as many you can eat, butter, jam, orange juice and also packed hotel crispy toasts. Location is also good - not noisy, very close to Termini station - c. 300 meters to underground and also close to Colosseum (c. 15 minutes of walking). In spite of that in Rome was only about 4°C and our last day of stay was snowing (second time per last 26 years!) in the room was warm temperature enought - there is heating (what is not so usual in the Rome) and also air condition which can heat until 30°C. Overall we want to suggest to everyone! We enjoyed it there so much! :) Grazie, arrivederci!
Since we found ourselves in Rome by chance, we asked at the airport for some economy accomodation and they suggested Aquarium. It was near Termini station so this was a big plus.
So we went out of the station and, carrying the bags we started going uphill - after a while we realized we had lost it and returned... it was a one-floor hotel in a big block of flats so we hadn't noticed the sign (we should have looked upwards which we didn't).
*The receptionist didn't speak other language than Italian. but she was friendly and we managed to communicate by sign language.
*The room we got had no window at all, and, although I don't have a phobia history, this place made me a bit afraid during the night :D
*The bathroom was tiny (very clean though).
*The breakfast (included) was a butter croissant and filter coffee (as much as we liked).
*The aquarium was tiny.
*The neighborhood was a bit scary.
Unique Quality: *Relatively cheap.
*Near the station.
Directions: As you walk out the Termini Station, go uphill but look on the second floors of the buildings on your left hand to see the sign.
I had a double bedded room for me alone for 50.- ? ; breakfast included. The room was o.k. for one person. The water in the shower was hot. Breakfast: I could take as much of the strong coffee as I wanted. The staff was friendly + helpful. The location is a bit ghetto-like, a girl could have fear. It is a 8 minutes walk from Termini station, and from there you can get everywhere.
Directions: two streets behind Termini station

Vicolo del Piede 2, Rome
