I had a double bedded room for me alone for 50.- ? ; breakfast included. The room was o.k. for one person. The water in the shower was hot. Breakfast: I could take as much of the strong coffee as I wanted. The staff was friendly + helpful. The location is a bit ghetto-like, a girl could have fear. It is a 8 minutes walk from Termini station, and from there you can get everywhere.
Since we found ourselves in Rome by chance, we asked at the airport for some economy accomodation and they suggested Aquarium. It was near Termini station so this was a big plus.
So we went out of the station and, carrying the bags we started going uphill - after a while we realized we had lost it and returned... it was a one-floor hotel in a big block of flats so we hadn't noticed the sign (we should have looked upwards which we didn't).
Then: *The receptionist didn't speak other language than Italian. but she was friendly and we managed to communicate by sign language. *The room we got had no window at all, and, although I don't have a phobia history, this place made me a bit afraid during the night :D *The bathroom was tiny (very clean though). *The breakfast (included) was a butter croissant and filter coffee (as much as we liked). *The aquarium was tiny. *The neighborhood was a bit scary.
