Carmel Hotel: TERRIBLE - STEER CLEAR of this JOINT

We planned to stay at this hotel for four nights...and found after the first night there was no hot water and no one to complain to (other than the algerian cleaning staff that spoke no english or italian). We left after one night and were charged for the full four night stay. We are now in the long process of disputing the charge and attempting to get back $1000 of money charged to our account. We tried to resolve our dispute with this merchant by calling, sending an email in both english and italian, calling again and told to call back after 9 pm, calling after 9 and being told to call a person only available on Fridays....really this is ridiculous. DO NOT STAY HERE>>>>>There are much better options in Trastevere with decent accommodations and respectful operators.
we ( me, my wife and two children) stayed at Locanda Carmel in March 2009. The hotel is small but very clean and confortable. The staff was very helpful. And we really enjoy the big terrace available for all guests. We also think the hotel is perfectly located: out from the noise of Trastevere but close to everywere. It's a perfect place to spend your holidays in Rome!!!!!!
The rooms and the bathroom are quite small, but very clean. The beds are confortable. We have tv and air conditiong in the room and a boiler with hot water, tea and coffee available for us......(very nice to have a hot tea in the room after long walking with babies).
