Nice Rooms, Convenient Location

Small, clean, attractive room, with TV, and a large bathroom. The shower worked really well and so did the air conditioning. You can open the windows, and it does not get too loud at night. Breakfast is included and it is a pretty good spread - meats, cheeses, rolls, yogurts, cereals. Very short walk to the Manzoni Metro stop, and about 15 minutes walk to the Colosseo. The front desk staff were courteous. We arrived in the early morning, and they let us leave our luggage behind the desk until check-in time, and they let us know about restaurants and shops convenient to the hotel.

Unique Quality: There is a gated garden area in front with a small fountain, which is nice for sitting. The gate is locked at night and so is the hotel front door (you use your room key to get in), so it feels safe. There is also apparently a rooftop patio where you can enjoy the view of the city, although we were not told of it and did not find out until after we checked out!

Daniela hotel - A nice place to stay

The Daniela hotel is not "luxury" by any manor of means, but it is a lovely place to stay, and allows easy access to the centre of Rome. Just 2 minutes walk from Manzoni Metro, you can by in the heart of Rome witin 10 minutes of leaving your hotel room. Or, if you prefer, it will take you around 10 minutes to walk to the Coloseum and the Roman Forums, and it is a nice walk.

We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were basic but nice. Everything worked, and the bed was comfy. We also had a seriously powerful power shower, which is excellent after a long day of walking!

Unique Quality: No real outstanding qualities. it was a basic, nice hotel. If i had to name 2 things that made it slightly better than other hotels i have stayed in it would be the staff courtesy and the location of the hotel.

hotels and villas in northern italy

by sonnydds

Hi everyone,
I'm planning a honeymoon for june in italy, probably venice, florence, rome, cinqueterra.Does anyone have any reccommendations for nice(3 or 4 star) hotels for a couple in their early 30s?We want to also look into staying in the wine country of tuscany, perhaps in a villa with a view, all that romantic stuff my fiancee wants!
Any help would be great for these two novices.

Wellll....a villa in wine country would be just wonderful but you could have a great time at the Villa Belvadere in Florence....for a whole lot less and leave more lira for sight seeing....Great place, great people and great location..

Easy access to the main city or the country side. Bus stop just a short walk away if you like local transport. Top notch in my book....

Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! It must be a good year for it, as my fiancee and i are getting hitched in July!

I cannot help you with the other places you are going, but we were in Rome for 3 days in January this year.

We stayed at a 3 star hotel called Hotel Daniela.

Its in a reasonbaly quiet part of the city, and is definetly out with the tourist area. However, it is within 15 minute walking distance of the Coliseum and the Roman Forums.

It is also just a 2 minute walk from Metro Line A which takes you direct tothe vatican city.

All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.

You can find out more about it and how to get to all the sites from it on my Rome page. Alternatively, you can search on the Internet and find out more about it, for example: http://rome.guide-to-hotels.com/hotel-daniela.html

Hope this helps!
