More about Daphne Inn Trevi Rome

Clean, decent and friendly, yes! Wonderful or fabulous? No!

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed at Daphne Trevi in early December. The Daphne really is a good place to stay. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated and the breakfast buffet, though nothing overly generous, is a good way to start the day. On the downside however, our en-suite bathroom was very small and so was the bed that was placed in it (best avoided by people over 6 ft 2, or 1,90m). This really was a room to sleep in, no place to rest a few hours, not a big problem of course in a city like Rome.

Quiet hideaway in the heart of the city

by A TripAdvisor Member

Stayed at the Daphne Trevi for 6 days in October and couldn't agree more with the raves of the other posters. Great breakfasts to start the day, a central location so that you can easily pop back during the day, and a big comfy bed, in a quiet, dark room to sleep. Each toom has a warmth and character that makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive.

I doubt we could have experienced or enjoyed the city even a fraction of what we did, had it not been for the guides and advice provided by the staff.

Hotels that provide for your every need, including leaving you some money in pocket, are hard to come by. The Daphne meet our every expectation.

Welcoming

My partner and I stayed at Daphne Trevi around Thanksgiving time in 2004. We both marveled at the courteous and attentive staff. Sandra helped us map out our brief stay in Rome, which saved us lots of time. She also packed us a breakfast bag on our last morning because we didn't have time to eat before heading to the airport.

The room was small, but very comfortable. Not alot of room for luggage, which is partly our fault for bringing so much. The breakfast really hit the spot in the morning. Not a huge selection, but plenty of it. The coffee was outstanding!

The location is perfect - close to many sites and shopping.

The only complaint is the loud heater. We finally decided to turn it off completely. Overall, a very good value.

Stylish and Friendly

The little road on which Daphne is set can be a little off putting at the beginning, however within hours you realise you are in the centre of a small city community and very safe. Arriving at our pre arranged time ,staff were there to greet us and offered hot drinks and a warm welcome. The rooms are compact but very clean and tastefully decorated. There are no tea making facilities which could be an improvement to consider. As a guest you will be given a cell phone to contact the staff in case of emergency or just to book a restaurant for you. The breakfasts were excellent with a full choice of hot drinks. The staff, Mimi and Yoko were very helpful and informative, offering routes to walk taking in all the sights. I recommend both eating establishments at the end of the road (turn left out of the door) good food, good price. I will certainly return to the Daphne Trevi and recommend it to friends. A charming B&B.

nice place to stay

We stayed 2 days at the Daphne Trevi. Upon arrival we were very well welcomed by Sandra, who was very helpful during the whole stay. Our room was cozy, clean and silent (for Rome), the only drawback was its tiny size. Bed and wardrobe completely fill up the room... there's no place for even a small desk. We were told that in fact we had the smallest room (although we paid same price as the larger ones), because they tend to give larger rooms for people who stay longer. So ask for a large room if you use the room for more than just sleeping at night. There is no TV, which we didn't regret though. Breakfast was just as you would wish it in an Italian city. The location is perfect for people who want to stay in the center and don't want to pay more than 200$ for a room. But of course it's busier in the city center, and the air feels more polluted than in remote areas like Aventino or Parioli.
We will certainly return to Daphne, and ask for a larger room next time.

The most charming B&B

Lovely! Situation, atmosphere, decoration, breakfast all very good. Charming attention (touristic information, restaurants, shopping, "particular" places...) and a lot of little things to facilitate the stay.
