Rome's Sweet places to stay

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on July 7, 2008

Daphne is a new way to stay in Rome: Elegant accommodations and highly personalized service at affordable rates. We offer you a better, more complete travel experience.
Daphne is just what a top-notch, urban, B&B ought to be: spotless, air-conditioned rooms, really comfortable beds, and a great location -- right in the historic center of Rome, just minutes on foot from the Trevi Fountain. You will find fresh fruit and pastries with your coffee in the morning, wireless Internet service, a cell phone to use during your visit with us, and plenty of advice on where to go and what to see in Rome. We focus on customer service, not on expensive lobbies and unnecessary extras.

Daphne has two locations at Piazza Barberini, about 3 minutes' walk apart. Each is around one minute's walk from the Barberini metro stop, and 5-10 minutes' walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. Both are on quiet side streets, with wonderful shopping and dining nearby.

Please be aware that the facilities are 100% non-smoking.

Unique Quality: The guest rooms and public areas are decorated with an understated elegance, providing a soothing ambience and a sense of coming home after a long day in Rome.

Our beds have firm Simmons mattresses, crisp linens, and fluffy comforters. The sitting rooms offer cozy reading areas, a lending library with local guidebooks, and high-speed Internet access.

We provide a computer in the sitting room, and you are also free to use your own laptop to connect using either Wi-Fi or Ethernet

Every room has:

Air conditioning / heating with temperature control
Iron / ironing board
Cell phone (you pay only for your calls)
High-speed Internet jacks (wireless access also available)
Room safe
Mini fridge
Coffee / tea making facilities
Welcome kit with shampoo, soap and lotion
Included in the room rate:
Daily maid service
Generous buffet breakfast
Multilingual staff (English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese)
Computer with high-speed Internet access in common area; wi-fi access
Luggage storage
Additional services available (please enquire about rates):

Directions: We have two locations at Piazza Barberini, about 3 minutes' walk apart. Each is around one minute’s walk from the Barberini metro stop, and 5-10 minutes' walk from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps.

Clean modern rooms, centrally located just a few minutes from Piazza Barbarin.

At arrival they sit down with you and help you to plan your stay. Show you the map and all the best places for sightseeing, eating and drinking in town.

You also get a cellphone that can be used to contact the hotel during the stay, or for example in emergency.
Great service!

A good B&B in Roma

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on February 3, 2005

I didn't stay personally here ,because I am from Rome, but I was lookind for a place for some friends coming to visit the Eternal City.
They have about 12 rooms splitted in 2 venues(Via di S.Basilio, near Piazza Barberini, and Via degli Avignonesi, near the Trevi fountain).

Unique Quality: Nice Rooms(not hege as usual in Rome), clean, good rates and friendly service.

Directions: great locations, close to major sights!!
