The hotel itself is great. The room was very large and was extremely clean. The staff was also very friendly. Our only problem was how thin the walls seemed to be. The first night we were there, we were awoken at 12:30 am by loud talking. We thought it was right outside our room because we could hear the whole conversation very clearly. My husband peaked outside our door and found out that the conversation was coming from the room across the hall and three doors down. Now I know most hotels in Europe aren't as soundproof as those in the US, but this was ridiculous. Both nights we were there we got very little sleep.
Directions: This hotel was not very easy to find. It is connected to the St. Croce church but there are absolutely no signs anywhere. We finally asked someone in the church and they pointed to a set of double doors to the right of the church entrance.

Unique atmosphere - you should go if you appreciate special scenarios. Good location (300 m of metro station San Giovanni) and good price/quality ratio.
Directions: Leave at S. Giovanni metro Station; head to Piazza Santa Croce in Gerusalemme - the hotel's door is right next to the main church you'll find there
We stayed here five nights September 2007. I cannot rave enough about this hotel. We loved it ! It is attached to a beautiful church, the rooftop terrace is enormous and the views, you will never forget them. It is very clean. Ask for a room with a balcony. I definitely would stay here again. Also the front desk sells the Romapass and are very helpful with giving you directions for buses, metro etc, Enjoy !
