Great Bed & Breakfast in Rome
I found this to be a great location:
Hotel: Federici B&B Viale Giulio Cesare 151 Rome 39-06-39737110 Fax 39-06-775-91877 B&B located in neat residential and shopping area and restaurants north of the Vatican (pretty at night). When I checked in was greeted at door by Fabio and met Federici. Sparse room, ceiling fan, TV, tiny shower - but VERY clean and functional. The breakfast each morning was included in the price and abundant. The metro stop is just steps away from the entrance. I highly recommend using the metro to get around Rome - fast, clean and efficient (a little humid during hot weather). Get a pass for however many days you are there - cheaper that way.

You may be able to book a couple of rooms there cheaper than one room at a large hotel. I utilized Avventure Bellissime and took walking tours with them. Small groups and interesting facts. Ciao!
