Loved the Hotel Adriano
by TripAdvisor Member jennacoz
My husband and I stayed at the Hotel Adriano for 3 nights in a Superior Double Room during our honeymoon. The hotel was nice and we enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful. The room was on the small end and we had a quaint view of the street. The bathroom was newly upgraded. The best part of this hotel is it's location! We loved being able to walk everywhere in Rome. The vatican is about a twenty minute walk, Piazza Navona is about a five minute walk, and the Spanish Steps are about a fifteen minute walk. We will definitely return to this hotel when in Rome again.
Pleasant surpise and a great location.

We recently returned from a 4 night stay at the Hotel Adriano in Rome. (E200 per night) It was the last of our Italian stops and the nicest of the hotels where we stayed. We were pleasantly surprised. The decor was modern and taseful throughout; more than we expected for a 3 star hotel. The room was of average size and the bathroom larger than average. Both were newly decorated and kept very clean. The air conditioning worked very well, which was greatly appreciated during the heat wave. The staff was not overly friendly, but polite and helpful at check in. Breakfast was simple but ample and provided us with necessary fuel to get us started on our day. The hotel was centrally located. We were able to walk to Trevi, Spanish Steps, Vatican, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Roman Forum, Coilliseum, many stores and restaurants.
The hotel is 10 minute taxi ride from the train station and about a 45 minute ride from the airport. We would recommend this hotel to friends and would certainly return there ourselves.

Very Nice Stay

This was a solid 2-star-plus/3-star-minus experience: clean, comfortable rooms, although not luxurious by any means, at a moderate price (considering the city and location). Inside-facing rooms look out onto a courtyard that seems to be filled with a tool shed, and the elevator offers a direct view into the shower. On the other hand, rooms facing in are remarkably quiet, which is hard to come by here. There is some need of minor refurbishment inside the room, but nothing that suggested uncleanliness; very clean and modern bathroom; common areas were undergoing renovation while we were there. Staff was extremely competent, courteous, and helpful, beyond requirements. Breakfast was as expected for an Italian tourist class hotel, which is to say, just OK. Although it took a few minutes to sort out a small problem with the reservation (wrong room type), things were put right relatively quickly. The location is the strongest point, very close to the north end of Piazza Navona and a few streets west of the Corso.
Adriano.A very good choice

Very good hotel with a very professional staff. The strong points are: a perfect location (in the proximity of: piazza navona, the Pantheon and Spanish’s steps), a clean room (recently renovated), a superb bathroom, very quiet location. The breakfast was a little disappointing but not astonishing in Italy
If we go back to Rome, it will be in this hotel
A Little Gem!

We stayed here for 4 nights earlier in April. The hotel is in a fantastic location for doing all the usual sightseeing! On a little side street literally 2 mins walk from the Pantheon. The hotel is clean, and the staff reasonably friendly, although, to be fair there wasn't a lot of interaction apart from handing the room key in at the desk, and collecting it!
We had a superior room which wasn't huge in comparison with other places we've stayed in. There's a double bed, bedside lockers, wardrobe, and desk with flat screen LCD TV aswell. But let's be honest - you're not going to Rome to sample the hotel rooms! It also has a very good sized bathroom, with a great power shower (in the bath), WC, BD, and large well lit mirror.
We both found the mattress a bit on the hard side, but that's just down to personal opinion.
If you're looking for a good, clean, comfortable hotel in a truly excellent location this is definitely the place to stay.
Remember, this is a 2+/3 star hotel not a five star and in my opinion, you'll find it hard to get somewhere in this location at such a good price.
One note of warning though, the hotel is literally on the cobbled side street (as many of the hotels in Rome are). When you step out of the lobby/main entrance, there is no walkway/path to step onto, and you do get the odd scotter flying down although it is NOT a main road - the road is one way and can only take the width of a single car anyway.
Highly Recommended!
Fantastic hotel

We stayed in this hotel for a week in april. The location is just fantastic we walked everywhere no need for public transport. within minutes of pantheon piazza novona and the spanish steps also trevi fountain. Area is very safe at night
Hotel is spotlessly clean we had a delux double it was fantastic. breakfast very good for europe and plenty to choose from.
Hotel staff are extremely helpful especially Carlo that man is a saint.
Excellent ice-cream shop up the street and around the corner you will find the most beautiful pastry shop. Plenty of choice with restaurants and shopping.
Its just a great hotel.

I would consider another area. It is dead after the shops close. piazza Navona and Campo de' Fiori is much better and you get more for your Euro than around Piazza di Spagna. Also, better places to eat and things to do at night.

7 of us stayed at the Hotel Adriano not far from the Piazza Navona - in fact not far from anywhere. We walked everywhere and it didn't take us long to see the great sights. Lots of places to eat - great prices! Lots of little lanes filled with shops, bars, and cafes. Envy you - we have been back a week. Rome was brilliant and found the people very friendly! Enjoy!
