Great older hotel
Hotel is in a great location for walking around and generally getting around in the city . Clean, comfortable family room (two bedrooms connected) and a great breakfast. Front desk personnel were very helpful with taxi's and directions. They picked us up from the Rome Airport, and even though our flight was an hour late, they were dutifully waiting - which was a relief.

I had a pleasant stay at the Alexandra at the end of last year, the room, although not large, was decent enough with the windows onto the front. Breakfast is not much, but enough, ie rolls, ham cheese, nutella and cereal..
The hotel itself is in a great location in the city, on the Via Veneto, and within 50 yards of the Barberini subway station, with some good restaurants on the doorstep, including a Hard Rock cafe.
I would stay here again.

Rome - Via Veneto - Hotel Alexandra
Staying on the Via Veneto was such a pleasure. Quiet neighborhood, wonderful restaurants nearby, Villa Borghese just up the street, Spanish Steps around the corner, Trivi Fountain close by... perfect location.
Unique Quality: Quaint little hotel. Lovely hardwood floors and views of tree-lined street.

Check out La Residenza. We had a lovely room there, and a huge bathroom and balcony. It's near the Spanish Steps.. right off the Via Veneto. I'm not sure if it's a 3 or 4 star, but we enjoyed that hotel and I think their breakfast was one of the best we had in Italy.

Hotel Alexandra is a nice 3 star hotel located on the lower part (the best) on Via Veneto closer to Piazza Barberini.Within 20 min. by walk you can reach sights like Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps wich is my favourite area with all those lovely little cafes and trattorias.Apart from big names you also find some very good little italian shops(good value for money) in this area.It is also very safe and convenient to get around.When in Italy and especialy in Rome never base the choosing of a Hotel considering the Star rating system but only the ammount of money you are willing to spend and what you get for it.

the Hotel Veneto is a charming 3 star hotel located only a few minutes walk from via veneto and the Spanish Steps. it is much cheaper than any of the hotels you can find which are located on the via veneto all of which tend to be overpriced 5 stars
