Barcelona és bona
by Peret
Barcelona is good if the bag sounds. This says an old Catalan saying. But you are not worrying, it is relatively cheap, for being a big European city. Capital of Catalonia, is however cosmopolitan and varied. From her you will be able to know the country, or you will be able to go to the famous beaches. Gaudí made it a jewel of the architecture.
We had a great stay!

I booked the Cosmopolita for a 4 night stay in Jan 05. The location is ideal - well situated for the sights and more importantly - the shops!
We didn't go with huge expectation of the hotel - it is not one of the most expensive after all! However, we were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our rooms and wash facilities were spotless!
If you are looking for a hotel that offers good value for money, good location, is clean and comes with helpful and friendly staff then I would recommend Cosmopolita.
Say hello to Allesandro!
Ashley, Mary, Janice and Jackie will definately be returning next year!
Perfect Rome Hotel
by TripAdvisor Member irishopper
Just returned from a month in Ireland and Italy. Cosmopolita was by far one of our favorite hotels. Rooms very clean (even chocolates each evening_, location could not be better, breakfast buffet excellent and the staff more than accommodating (very unusual for Italy). Hotel also recommended a restaurant on the street above I believe it was called Santa Cristina and it was one of the best meals we had in Italy, family run, very nice atmosphere, friendly and great food.
Amazingly Convenient!

What a location! The other reviews have outlined the sites nearby, but we would like to emphasize the cleanliness and hospitality of the hotel. This being our first visit to Rome, we were pleasantly surprised by the accomodating nature of the hotel staff.
The room we stayed in was small, the bathroom was small as well, but we spent so much time outside the room that it really didn't matter much. However, our room was on a lower floor overlooking the street - and therefore quite loud. There is a club next door opened until the early hours of the morning, so inebriated patrons could be heard singing, laughing, and shouting at one another until 2 or 3 in the morning. However, we realize that for a location as perfect as this, there will be the occasional noise issue. And if you shut the window - no issue! Also, if you look out this same window, you can see the Forum ruins - so it was a trade-off we were more than happy with.
We would definitely recommend the Cosmopolita, and if noise is an issue, ask for a room not facing the street. Enjoy!
Just awful!

One of the worst experiences of my life. Old and dirty dirty. Too expensive for what it is. Rooms were spacious but so so dirty! Greasy walls... ugh... Plus it's like in the 4th story of an old building, with no elevator. Avoid it ar all costs.
Very Nice!

This hotel is very nice. I have no idea why the last person wrote what they did. The hotel is in a perfect location and has a lot of great amenities. It definitely has A/C and an elevator. They must be getting this hotel confused with another one. This hotel is in an IDEAL location. Very close to all the best things to see in Rome. Highly recommended.

Pavarotti V food
by wanderinwoman
Just booked myself and partner a last minute break (3 nights) leaving on the 2nd July staying at the Hotel Cosmopolita, Via Quattro Novembre 114.
Any VT'ers stayed there? Is it ok?
Looked pretty central on the map but what do I know, never been to Rome before!
Is there any open air opera that will be going on over the period we are there as would love to experience this first hand.
Also any fab restaurants you can recommend eating al fresco.
Thanks in advance!
