The Vatican - Wow..! by RonanB
If you are in Central Rome walk to the Vatican along the banks of the Tiber. On a sunny spring morning it is majestic. Although Irish and christened Catholic, I would describe myself as agnostic. But you cannot help but be beguiled by the approach to the Vatican City and the interior of St Peter's Basilica. It's astonishing that virtually every single item no matter how big or small is an individual work of art.The walk to the Pantheon from our Hotel through the back streets on through the Paizza di Spagna down several more side streets and then you happen upon a small square with this little gem of a building that was built when God was a child.
