Hi Johnny,

Great time to go to Rome in June, the weather is perfect then.
There are many places where you can look for a accommodation to stay in Rome.
If I were you I would look on the internet for apartments, whit 6 persons it is nice to rent a apartment for a couple of days.
When you have found an apartment, it is smart to look an compare because there is so much on the market.
The public transport in Rome is good so maybe you can consider to take an apartment a little bit outside the city because that is cheaper.

Have a nice time in Rome!

Check out Hotel Pensione Italia; centrally located, owner, Andrea, speaks English, good breakfast, quiet side street. Have fun!

Definitely an apartment, for a group of 6 they'll definitely save you money! Guests of mine as well as myself have always had great results with Leisure in Rome. They've been around for some 5 years or so and are quite professional and reputable....and they speak English. They also have a great selection of centrally located apartments, some which they're running great deals on at the moment. Last spring I surprised my husband with a few days in their Bernini apartment, VERY affordable, and absolutely wonderful :) Happy hunting!

Travel Tips for Rome

Roman roads

by croisbeauty

Romans were the first who understood the importance of ground connections between the places and the people. Thanks to their very skillfull road constructors, the city of Rome was connected to all parts of a huge imperia, what helped them alot in controlling the territory and developing the commerce. Most of this roads still exist but today we know them as A1, A4 etc., being part of the highway network throughout Italy. In ancient Roman times this roads were known as Via Appia, Via Julia, etc.

Remeber to take a money belt!!!

by rachel_sun

Suitcase and hand luggage and a pack pack for trips to put camera and water in. Comftable shoes and warm clothes in winter and light clothes in summer.Remember to cover up in churches. Take pictures early morning or late evening to avoid the bright light. Take a travel adapter and magazines for the flight.Take a money belt and a map and a guide book. Here i am enjoying the great wine and food.

You also find food stores, restaurants and cafeterias where you can make your groceries shopping or stop for a quick snack, an ice cream or dinner before or after shopping. Normal prices depending on what you buy.

A charming and favorite restaurant

by josiebella about Enoteca La Bevatoria, Piazza Navona

I have been going to this restaurant for nearly 8 years and have always had a fantastic evening and have never had a bad meal. I always get a warm welcome from the owner and the waiters who remember me every time.. The food had always been excellent and the ambience is typically Italian with all the buzz of the Piazza, street artists and candle light. I will always return here each time I come back to this amazing city and contrary to other opinions I would never hesitate in recommending this to anyone going to Rome. From the menu I would hightly recommend starting with the house antipasta - fantastic meats, cheese and roasted vegetables, breads and oils. Also try the Risotto Fungi its depth of flavor is wonderful. Finally steak with pepper corns.. mmmmmm.

Major gelato variety at a good price

by Packerman about Hmmmm?

Of all the gelato shops I frequented while visiting Rome this one had the most variety at very good prices, not to mention it was very close to our apartment. Seriously, it was very creamy and there was so much variety that I still didn't get to taste every flavor during my TWO weeks there. I can't remember all the flavors, but my favorites were the tirumisu and coffee flavors.
