Hotel Piemonte: "Just 3 minutes from the train station..."

The terrace was bigger than the room...

The Piemonte became my home away from home while in Rome, after I got off the train with my Rough Guide & found a tourist assistance bureau. I hadn't planned my stay in Rome on this leg of the trip, so I got to the bureau, just a few minutes from the Roma Termini main train station. I gave them a price range, they called a local place & that was all I needed. Reasonably (low-medium) priced, and comfortable enough, I had a covered terrace on the 3rd floor - although I was asked to keep the terrace doors locked at all times I was out, and overnight. Just 3 minutes' walk from the train station, there wasn't anything else "right there" to do, but another 5 minutes & things started showing up for entertainment.
